As beloved as Reba is, the series surprisingly has not been available to stream on Netflix in the past. But that’s finally changing…and soon!
While Reba hasn’t been on Netflix, it has been on another streaming service, Hulu. As popculture.com details, 20th Television, which produced Reba, is now owned by Disney. Disney also owns Hulu, which is why Reba is available to stream on that platform.
But according to TVLine, Disney recently made a deal with Netflix to license 14 series to them, including Reba:
“Disney is also licensing 14 other series to Netflix on a non-exclusive basis for 18 months each,” TVLine explains. “These series will remain on the Disney platform they’re currently on (Disney+, ESPN+ or Hulu) and will pop up on Netflix…”
When Will Reba Be Available To Watch On Netflix?
So when will Reba finally be available to watch on Netflix? According to TVLine, the series will start streaming on Netflix on May 6, 2024….just in time for summer!
All six seasons of the show will be available to watch on the platform.
Reba‘s inclusion among Netflix’s lineup of shows could renew interest in the already popular series. Perhaps this will help give it momentum for a reboot?
Reba fans and the cast have made it clear how much they’d love to see a reboot of the series. There have been rumors about reboots for years, but nothing has ever come of them.
Recently, Steve Howey, who played Reba’s son-in-law Van, said he’s all-in if a reboot ever comes to fruition. He told Entertainment Tonight:
“…to see where Van is now and where the family is, I mean I would do anything. Reba says, ‘Jump,’ and I’ll say, ‘How high?'”
While a reboot isn’t certain, we at least know we can look forward to seeing Reba on Netflix in May!
