Nelson’s Stagecoach performance came just two days before the Country Music and Rock & Roll Hall of Famer celebrated his 91st birthday on April 29.

Willie Welcomed Some Special Guests Onstage

Nelson did not perform alone at Stagecoach. His family and a few special guests joined him onstage.

Desert Sun reports that Waylon Payne, Jelly Roll, ERNEST, and Charley Crocket sang with Nelson during his set. One fan-filmed video shows Nelson, his family, and his famous friends uniting to sing the beloved hymn “I’ll Fly Away.”

Many folk and country artists have covered “I’ll Fly Away” before. Those artists include Alan Jackson, George Jones, Reba McEntire, and The Kossoy Sisters. The latter recording was heavily featured in the 2000 film O Brother, Where Art Thou?

Nelson also recorded the song in the past and has performed it during his concerts for many years.
