Dolly Parton Earned A Spot In The Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame
Country music legend Dolly Parton epically ended the 2023 ACM Awards by debuting one of her then-new rock songs.
Parton may be a country music legend, but she was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2022. The induction came after some debate about whether or not Parton should become a member.

She initially tried to withdraw from consideration because she didn’t believe she was the right fit for the Rock Hall. But after some thought, Parton changed her mind. She remained in the running and was chosen as one of the inductees.
After her induction, Parton promised to release a rock album. Throughout the recording process, she worked with legendary artists such as Elton John, Joan Jett, Paul McCartney, and Stevie Nicks.
Her full-fledged rock album, Rockstar, dropped in November 2023.

Dolly Closes Out The 2023 ACM Awards With Her New Rock Single
Those who tuned in to the 2023 ACM Awards were in for a treat from Parton. She closed out the ceremony with a debut performance of her then-new rock song, “World on Fire.”
As expected, Parton rocked the stage with her performance of “World on Fire.” She performed with a group of dancers while fire surrounded her onstage.
Parton started off wearing a massive, parachute-like skirt that resembled a globe. But she later removed the skirt and was rockin’ an all-black ensemble fit for a rockstar.
Everyone in the audience was on their feet as they listened to Parton sing. She definitely deserved that response!
As powerful as the performance was, we got goosebumps when Parton sang softy with no music at the end. Talk about a chill-inducing moment.
