NBC Places Order For Five New Episodes Of Reba’s Happy’s Place Sitcom
It looks like the “ride” McEntire referenced will continue well into the future.
Happy’s Place has now released six episodes, with its latest installment airing on Friday, November 22. It’s continued to be a popular show for NBC, motivating the network to order additional episodes.
Deadline reports that Happy’s Place got a full-season order from NBC, with a pickup of five new episodes:
“NBC has handed a Back 5 order to Happy’s Place, picking up five additional episodes of the Reba McEntire multi-camera comedy for an 18-episode total, considered a full-season order by today’s network standards.”
Deadline explains how networks like NBC will pick up extra scripts for a series they are particularly “bullish on.” In other words, NBC has a lot of hope and confidence in Happy’s Place and its future.
