Watch Reba Surprise The Happy’s Place Cast With The Show’s Theme Song
McEntire’s Happy’s Place co-stars were equally thrilled when they heard the theme song for the first time. She recently shared a video that shows her surprising the cast by playing the theme at one of their table reads.
First, McEntire shared the story behind the song and how King wrote it with her. Then, much to her co-stars’ surprise, she played the song for them.
It’s clear the cast members (including McEntire’s boyfriend, Rex Linn) were instant fans of the song. One of the most priceless reactions came from Belissa Escobedo, who plays Isabella, the half-sister of McEntire’s character, Bobbie.
Belissa’s jaw dropped almost immediately after the theme song started playing.

Later, Escobedo found herself overcome with emotion and wiped tears from her eyes as she continued listening to the theme. Clearly, it means a lot to her to be on a show with McEntire and the rest of the cast. McEntire noticed that Escobedo was teary-eyed and reached over to give her a hug.
In some confessional-style clips filmed afterward, other cast members admitted they also teared up while listening to the theme. “It was beautiful,” said Melissa Peterman, who also starred with McEntire on Reba. “...I feel like she did it again.”
“It is awesome, we can’t wait to have you all here,” said Tokala Black Elk, who plays Takoda on Happy’s Place. You may recognize him from his role as Sam Stands Alone on Yellowstone.
