Since the day the sitcom Reba aired its final episode, fans have been begging for a reunion, reboot, or at least for the iconic Reba McEntire to return to television!

She has returned to the small screen a few times guest starring on Young Sheldon, and she even booked a lead role on the ABC drama Big Sky in 2023.  In a surprising, but welcoming, announcement in January, McEntire revealed she would be starring in an NBC sitcom this fall!

In March, Melissa Peterman, who played Barbra Jean on Reba, announced she had joined the cast of the unnamed sitcom! It was later revealed that Blue Bloods actress Belissa Escobedo would also be starring. To make things even sweeter for McEntire’s fans, her longtime boyfriend Rex Linn also joined the cast!

But now that we know the name of the show and a couple of its stars, who will they be playing? We will be breaking all of that down for you!

Reba McEntire

McEntire will play Bobbie, a woman who inherits her father’s restaurant/bar, Happy’s Place, after he recently passed away. She knows the ins and outs of the business so that is no surprise to her. What is a surprise is a much younger half-sister that she didn’t know about! The show will follow them as they form a relationship and try to work together to keep their dad’s business afloat.

McEntire is coming off her first-ever win on The Voice. Her contestant Ashe LaVon took home first place, while her other contestant, Josh Sanders, placed second!

Belissa Escobedo

Escobedo is playing Isabella, Bobbie’s half-sister who comes to town because she has also inherited her late father’s restaurant/bar. She longs for family, and when she finds out about Bobbie, she is thrilled.

25-year-old Escobedo has been in the movies Hocus Pocus 2 and Blue Beetle and had her breakthrough role in the 2020 ABC series The Bake and the Beauty.

Peterman, who we know from the shows Reba, Baby Daddy, and Young Sheldon, will be portraying a character named Gabby. Gabby works at Happy’s Place and is very fond of Bobbie, so much so that she wishes she was Bobbie’s sister, not Isabella.

Rex Linn

Linn will be playing a line cook at Happy’s Place named Emmett who is described as a man of few words. In the trailer, he can be seen giving McEntire’s Bobbie some advice. No word on if their characters will get romantic, but fans are hoping they will!

Linn previously starred on CSI: Miami for 10 seasons and just wrapped up his recurring role on Young Sheldon as Principal Petersen. He starred alongside McEntire in the series Big Sky, and has been on the shows Better Call Saul, Lethal Weapon, and more.

Tokala Black Elk

You may have seen Tokala in the shows Yellowstone and 1883. He currently plays Officer Daniel on Season 2 of Outer Range and has appeared in American Primeval, Grey’s Anatomy, and Lewis & Clark.

Pablo Castelblanco
