Wynonna Explains Why She’s “So Connected” To Her Husband Cactus Moser

Wynonna Judd & Husband Cactus Moser Share A Strong & Loving Bond

Country music icon Wynonna Judd and her husband, drummer Cactus Moser, were friends for decades before they fell in love and married in 2012.

Just months after they wed, Moser was involved in a horrible motorcycle accident. He was seriously injured and had to have his left leg amputated below the knee.

Judd praised her husband’s strength, calling him a “champion.” She vowed to never leave his side.

Now, Moser has served as a source of support since Wynonna’s mother, Naomi Judd, died on April 30, 2022. Judd told PEOPLE Moser gives her hope that everything will be alright in the end:

“He will take me by my hands and say, ‘Honey, you’ve done your best.’ And I start to cry. And he’s right. I’ve done my best. He helps me to give myself a break, because I’ll try to be really eloquent or I’ll try to say something brilliant or try to come up with the right answer and he’ll say, ‘Honey? Stop. Take a breath.'”

Judd spoke in more detail about the bond she shares with her husband, telling PEOPLE:

“He’s the most tough and tender man I’ve ever been with that I trust. We are so connected. It’s crazy how connected we are. I trust him with my life, which, I can’t always say that about men in my life.”

Moser often joins his wife onstage. He even stood by her side and played a drum when she delivered her soaring performance of the National Anthem at the 2024 Kentucky Derby.

Wynonna Sweetly Wishes Cactus A Happy Birthday In 2023

Moser celebrated his 66th birthday on May 3, 2023. Judd recognized her husband’s special day by posting on social media.

The “Love Can Build a Bridge” singer shared a loving photo of her and Moser together on tour. The picture shows them embracing and smiling at the camera.

Her short and affectionate message read, “Happy Birthday to my King!“
