Lisa Marie’s Daughter, Riley Keough, Ensures Her Legacy Lives On
Lisa Marie Presley’s eldest daughter, Riley Keough, honored her with a loving tribute on the second anniversary of her death.
Elvis Presley and his then-wife, Priscilla, welcomed their daughter Lisa Marie on February 1, 1968. Just a little over nine years later, Lisa Marie found herself mourning the loss of her father, who died at the age of 42 on August 16, 1977.
Lisa Marie went on to become a singer and mother of four. But life wasn’t easy for the only child of “The King.” She went through multiple divorces and openly admitted to her struggles with addiction. She also had a hard time coping with Elvis’ death.
Then, Lisa Marie experienced another tragic loss when her son, Benjamin Keough, died by suicide in 2020. She struggled with her heartbreak after his death and leaned on her daughters, Riley, Harper, and Finley, for support.

Lisa Marie was eventually buried beside her son in Graceland’s Meditation Garden after she passed away unexpectedly on January 12, 2023, at the age of 54. It was determined her death was caused by a small bowel obstruction, which itself was caused by bariatric surgery.
Since Lisa Marie’s passing, her eldest daughter, Daisy Jones & The Six actress Riley Keough, has worked tirelessly to keep her legacy alive. She finished and published the memoir her mom had been working on before her death, From Here to the Great Unknown.
The book, which debuted in October 2024, offers a look into Lisa Marie’s thoughts, feelings, and struggles throughout her lifeâand in her own words.
How Riley Remembered Her Mom On The Anniversary Of Her Passing
Riley took to her Instagram Story to honor her mom on the second anniversary of her death. She shared a screenshot of an old Facetime call, which shows Lisa Marie laughing. Riley also had a huge smile on her face during the call.
Keeping her tribute short and sweet, Riley simply included a red heart emoji over the screenshot.Â

Lisa Marie’s mother, Priscilla, also honored her in a moving tribute on social media. She wrote:
“I miss you more than words can say. I wish I could hold you, talk to you, see your smile just one more time. I wish you could see how much you are still loved, how deeply you are missed by all of us who carry you in our hearts.”
