Toby Keith Founded An Organization That Supports A Home-Away-From Home For Kids With Cancer & Their Families
For years, Toby Keith has raised funds to help kids with cancer. His Toby Keith Foundation benefits the OK Kids Korral in his home state of Oklahoma.
According to the foundation’s website, the OK Kids Korral “is a haven for the entire family as a child with cancer receives treatment.”
The OK Kids Korral gives pediatric cancer patients and their families a comfortable place to stay during treatments. The Korral houses 12 private suites, has a gourmet kitchen, a game room, and a special neutropenic wing for children with weakened immune systems.

This year (2023) was the 19th year Keith hosted his annual Toby Keith & Friends Golf Classic to benefit The OK Kids Korral. The cause surely means even more to Keith now, since he was diagnosed with cancer himself.
Toby Keith Makes Rare Public Appearance After Cancer Diagnosis To Support His Annual Charity Fundraiser
As Keith shared in June 2022, he was diagnosed with stomach cancer in the fall of 2021. He took a step back from performing so he could focus on his health and treatments.

While Keith hasn’t made many public appearances since revealing his cancer diagnosis, he knew he couldn’t miss his Golf Classic this year. The event was held on June 3.
Keith’s team recently shared some photos from the event on social media. They also shared that he and his friends helped raise a record-breaking amount of money for the OK Kids Korral this year:
“A few weeks ago, Toby hosted his annual Toby Keith & Friends Golf Tournament and they raised a record-breaking 1.8 million dollars for the @tkfoundation1!” his team revealed in a post on social media. That’s an extraordinary amount of money to help kids with cancer!
