Toby Keith Makes Surprise Appearance During LoCash Concert To Sing “Should’ve Been A Cowboy” Amid Cancer Battle
Toby Keith recently returned to performing after taking some time off. He was diagnosed with stomach cancer in the Fall of 2021 and stepped back to focus on his treatments.
Now, Keith is still battling cancer, but he’s feeling better. He’s testing the waters to see if he’s ready to get back on the road.

A few weeks ago, Keith surprised patrons at his Hollywood Corners restaurant and music venue in Norman, Oklahoma by performing two pop-up shows. “Toby’s back!” his team captioned some photos from the second show.

Then, Keith went to Florida for the sport fishing trade show, ICAST. Keith, who is the new owner of the bait and tackle company Luck E Strike, appeared with fishing legend Jimmy Houston at the event.
Keith celebrated his birthday while in Florida, and also sang karaoke in the back of an Uber. He performed his own song “Courtesy of the Red, White and Blue (The Angry American).”

Fans Film Toby Keith When He Shows Up At LoCash’s Concert To Sing One Of His Biggest Hits
Also while in Florida, Keith made a surprise appearance at one of LoCash’s concerts. LoCash is known for their hit songs such as “I Love This Life” and “I Know Somebody.”
The duo stepped back as Keith took to the stage to perform his debut single, “Should’ve Been a Cowboy.” The crowd was singing along with him the entire time!
One attendee’s video was shared on the World Fishing Network’s Instagram page. They said, “When you’re at a @locash show and @tobykeith shows up. Gotta love @icastshow #2023 in Florida.”
