Dolly Parton Attends Vols Vs. Bulldogs Game At Neyland Stadium & Peyton Manning Leads Her Onto The Field
The Tennessee Volunteers played against their famous rival, the Georgia Bulldogs, on Saturday, November 18 at Neyland Stadium. The Vols may have lost the game, but they won big on the entertainment side of things. That’s because country music legend Dolly Parton was in attendance that day.
Parton announced on November 13 that she would be at the game. Her appearance came just one day after she released her highly anticipated rock album, Rockstar.

Parton actually released a “Vols Edition” of the album, which includes a live performance of “Rocky Top.”
Dolly Parton Sings “Rocky Top” At Neyland Stadium
Parton performed “Rocky Top” when she visited Neyland Stadium on Saturday. But before that, she got a special celebrity escort to help lead her onto the field.
That special someone was Peyton Manning. Manning played football for Tennessee in college, where he won the Maxwell, Davey O’Brien, and Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Awards.
Manning went on to enjoy a successful career in the NFL, spending 14 seasons with the Indianapolis Colts and 4 seasons with the Denver Broncos.
He also has a deep connection to the country music community, and is friends with artists such as Kenny Chesney, Brad Paisley, and Luke Bryan. In fact, he and Bryan just co-hosted the 2023 CMA Awards for the second year.
In other words, Manning was the perfect person to escort Parton into Neyland Stadium. They were all smiles as they walked onto the field together.
Check out the videos below to see Manning and Parton at the Vols game. And make sure you watch the entire second video, because it includes Parton’s “Rocky Top” performance. Unfortunately, there were some sound issues and the band drowned out Parton’s voice, but it was still amazing to see her there!
