Martina McBride Celebrates 35th Anniversary With Husband John

Martina & John McBride’s Relationship Timeline

Martina Schiff married sound engineer John McBride in 1988. She took his last name as her stage name, and released her debut studio album just four years later. She is known for now-iconic songs such as “Independence Day,” “A Broken Wing,” and “Concrete Angel.”

Additionally, Martina has sold over 14 million albums and won the CMA Award for Female Vocalist of the Year four times. She has also been nominated for a Grammy 14 times. 

Martina and John welcomed their first daughter, Delaney, on December 22, 1994. Their second daughter, Emma, was born on March 29, 1998. John, Delaney, and Emma all appeared in Martina’s official music video for “Blessed.”

The couple had their third daughter, Ava, on June 20, 2005.

Martina took a step away from her career in order to be a present figure in her daughters’ lives. Now they’re all grown up, and Martina is clearly proud of their accomplishments.

Martina & John McBride Celebrate 35 Years Of Marriage

This year, Martina and John celebrated their 35th wedding anniversary. She recognized the milestone in a sweet post she shared on social media.

“We made it to 35 years!” she said. “Thirty. Five. Years. Wow. This guy makes me laugh every day and he’s a great dad to our 3 girls. He is a friend to many. But he’s my best friend. Love you John.”
