On March 31, Alan Jackson posted a coy photo of himself on social media and told fans, “You’ve been waiting…” along with the hashtag “#KeepinItCountry.”

Many fans chimed in in the comments section speculating a new album was on the horizon…and they were right! Just two days later, on April 2, Jackson revealed a new album titled Where Have You Gone, will be released on May 14. He also announced that the titled track, as well as a songs titled “Things That Matter” and “Way Down In My Whiskey” were already available.

Since the release of these songs, Jackson has been praised for “keeping it country” and staying true to his neotraditional sound he’s always been known for. One of the people singing his praises is none other than the Queen of Country herself, Loretta Lynn.

She shared a photo of the two on Instagram and wrote, “Just when I thought country music was near gone, @officialalanjackson shows up and brings it back to life! What an album, he’s given us. Y’all go listen to it right now. Alan, thank you honey for keeping it country!

We’re sure she has listened to the full album, but we have to wait until May. Until then, listen to the three songs he has released below.
