How Old Was He When Malibu Hot Summer Released?

Costner was in his 20s when he played the character John Logan in Malibu Hot Summer, which also went by the title Sizzle Beach, U.S.A. IMDb describes the premise of the film as such:

A fabulous Malibu beach house is the setting for sin in sun, as a trio of lovely ladies find love in Los Angeles over one sizzling summer.”

Costner’s co-stars included Robert Acey, Terry Congie, Leslie Brander, and Roselyn Royce.

Then, his breakout role came along just a few years later, when he played a cowboy named Jake in the 1985 film Silverado. His first starring role came in 1987, when he was cast as FBI Agent Eliot Ness in The Untouchables.

Since then, Costner has appeared in iconic films such as Filed of Dreams, JFK, and Dances with Wolves. He won two Academy Awards for the latter film, for Best Picture and Best Director.

In more recent years, Costner has become known for playing John Dutton on the Paramount series Yellowstone. He received a Golden Globe Award for his performance in 2023.

Next, Costner is preparing to release his highly anticipated Western epic, Horizon: An American Saga. The first “chapter” of the two-part project premieres in June, and the second part premieres in August. You can catch the trailer for Horizon below.

We can’t wait to see what else Costner has in store for us in the years to come! And we hope he had the happiest time celebrating his birthday this year.
