Josh Turner Announces New Album “This Country Music Thing” & Releases Lead Single

Recognized for his iconic deep voice, Josh Turner has officially announced a brand-new album that is coming to fans soon!
Turner has one of the most distinct and unmistakable voices in country music. The talented singer has demonstrated his iconic baritone sound on popular tracks like “Your Man” and “Would You Go with Me,” both of which are certified platinum.
With his new album, Josh Turner fans can expect nothing less! The project, titled This Country Music Thing, is Turner’s tenth studio album.
On Friday, June 21, Turner surprised fans by revealing the exciting news on his social media pages. And even better, fans don’t have to wait long for its release. This Country Thing comes out on August 16!
“It’s time for a new chapter! I’m so excited to announce that my 10th studio album, ‘This Country Music Thing,’ is coming out on August 16th. Itâs been a long time coming and I think y’all are gonna love it.”

Produced by Kenny Greenberg, This Country Music Thing features 11 new songs, three of which Turner actually helped write.
Along with his announcement of the album today, Josh Turner released the lead track off the album, “Down In Georgia,” written by Tyler Booth, Anthony Olympia, and Brent Rupard.
This new song follows the previously released “Heatin’ Things Up,” which he shared back in April.
Turner shared of the track, “This song was kind of in the same vein as ‘Your Man,’ but musically, it’s just very interesting. I went to the studio to track the song and when the first pass was over, Glenn Worf said, ‘My God, that first note felt like you just had a load of gravel dumped on you!’ I can’t wait to see how fans react to that live.”
