Carrie Underwood and her husband Mike Fisher were among the thousands of fans who turned out to watch George Strait perform in Nashville over the weekend. His opening acts were Little Big Town and Chris Stapleton, making the shows even more incredible.
Unfortunately, Strait’s Saturday night show had to be cut short due to severe storms in the area. That’s the show Underwood and Fisher attended. But based on Underwood’s social media posts, it still sounds like they had a great time!
Underwood posted some photos on her Instagram Story from the concert. She shared one picture with her friends, and captioned it, “Got to catch a soggy @georgestrait concert with my people!!!”

The second picture Underwood shared shows her and her friends with all of their significant others. Fisher stood behind Underwood and placed his hands on her arms while they both smiled for the camera.

George Strait & Chris Stapleton Closed Their Concert In The Pouring Rain
Underwood wasn’t kidding when she described Saturday’s concert as “soggy.” As mentioned previously, the show ended early due to storms in the area.
Strait only made it through part of his set when the call was made to end the concert. He wanted to send his fans off with a final performance, so he had Stapleton join him onstage to sing “Amarillo by Morning.”
