Alan Jackson’s Daughter Mattie Celebrates Upcoming Arrival Of Her Baby Boy
Alan Jackson’s oldest daughter, Mattie, just returned from her babymoon with her husband, Connor Smith. The couple is preparing to welcome their first child, a boy, in June.
Mattie traveled a long and challenging road to get to where she is today. She first married Ben Selecman on October 7, 2017. Sadly, Ben died following a tragic accident just three weeks before their first anniversary.
Left to process her grief as a young widow, Mattie turned to her faith for support. She channeled her feelings into a book, Lemons on Friday, in the hopes of helping other people who’ve experienced loss.

Mattie always dreamed of finding a great love again, but didn’t know if she would. Then Connor came into her life…
The couple went public with their relationship in April 2022. They announced their engagement in September of that year.
Mattie and Connor were married on May 12, 2023, in a gorgeous ceremony at The Breakers in Palm Beach, Florida.

In February, Mattie and Connor shared the happy news that they’re expecting their first child in June. Now, with her due date fast approaching, Mattie is soaking up every second of this joyful season in her life.
The 33-year-old recently celebrated with her family and friends at a dreamy, nautical-themed baby shower. She shared photos from the gathering, and said:
“So many years of dreams and tears and prayers finally becoming a reality â I’m honestly blown away by it all the time. Connor is so used to the happy cries now and has been such a champ already setting up play seats and walkers we wonât need for months from now just because we want to look at them.”
Even more recently, Mattie and Connor celebrated the upcoming arrival of their son on a relaxing babymoon. The couple also celebrated their first anniversary on the vacation, and fittingly chose to return to The Breakers, where they said “I do” a year ago.
Mattie posted a batch of photos from their cozy getaway, and wrote:
“Came home today filled to the absolute brim with thankfulness and excitement and every happy tear you can imagine. To reflect on and celebrate not just our first anniversary but our babymoon this past weekend is to live out years of prayers being tangibly answered. This place. This man. This family the Lord has so abundantly blessed us with the ability to start. Iâm floored at every turn.”
