Vince Gill’s Daughter Recently Showed Off Her Singing Skills With A Cover Of A Carrie Underwood Classic

Vince Gill’s daughter, Corrina, proved that musical talent runs in the family in a recent TikTok video where she sang part of Carrie Underwood’s 2006 hit “Before He Cheats.”

The 23-year-old put her own spin on the song, giving it a raspier and edgier twist than the original. Afterward, Corrina jokingly admitted that the way she sang the song was “unhealthy” for a singer to do.

She also shared that she teaches vocal lessons to high school students and said that helping them sing with a raspy tone while keeping it safe is something she finds challenging.

Corrina isn’t new to singing professionally, however. With two music legends as parents (Vince Gill and Christian pop singer Amy Grant) she’s had plenty of experience performing. She’s even graced some of the world’s most prestigious stages. A memorable moment was when she joined her dad to sing “When My Amy Prays” at the Grammys back in 2021.

She has even made her Grand Ole Opry debut. Corrina and her sister, Jenny, joined their Country Music Hall of Fame dad on the Opry stage last year during a special show on his birthday. Together, the three of them sang “Jenny Dreamed of Trains.” The song was originally written by Gill and later covered by John Denver in 1997.

Corrina Is Releasing Her Debut Album Soon

The new album, House On Another Street, will feature 10 songs. But, unlike her parents, Corrina isn’t limiting herself to a specific genre.

In an interview with American Songwriter, she shared what listeners can expect from her upcoming project.

“There are moments of heaviness, joy, introspection, questioning, a little grunge here and there, and a whole lot of vulnerability,” Corrina said. “All I know how to be is myself, and that is what this album is–an extension of who I am–right now–at 23 years old.”
