A Ronnie Milsap Biopic Is Coming Soon
A film based on the life of Country Music Hall of Famer Ronnie Milsap is officially in the works, according to Variety. The biopic will be inspired by his 1990 autobiography, Almost Like a Song.

Ronnie Milsap is one of the most successful country crossover artists and pianists in history. He is known for blending country, pop, and soul into his music.
Born blind due to a congenital disease, Milsap overcame his disability to leave an incredible mark on music history. He rose to fame in the 1970s and 1980s with hits like “It Was Almost Like a Song” and “Smoky Mountain Rain.” He has also achieved an incredible 40 No. 1 songs on various country charts. Over his career, Milsap has won six Grammy Awards and was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2014.

Who Will Play Ronnie Milsap In The Upcoming Film?
Currently, there isnât much information about when filming will begin or a projected release date for the untitled biopic. However, what we do know is who will be portraying the music icon.
Spencer Boldman is set to take on the starring role. Boldman is known for his appearances in the Hulu limited series Welcome to Chippendales, Disney Channel productions Zapped and Lab Rats, and 21 Jump Street. Milsap himself will help produce the project.

It’s no doubt that this opportunity is very special for Boldman to take on. It has even been reported that he spent time with Milsap at his Nashville home in preparation for the film and has received Milsap’s blessing to portray him.
