Ronnie Dunn Sings “I’ll Never Forgive My Heart” In Honor of Dean Dillon

Icons in the country music industry celebrated the legacy and career of songwriter Dean Dillon
Some of the biggest names in country music, including George Strait, Vince Gill, Ronnie Dunn, and more, came together last night (October 9) to recognize the legendary career of songwriter Dean Dillon. Songs and Stories of Dean Dillon took place at Propst Arena in Huntsville, Alabama, and was filmed for a national broadcast to be released at a later date.
Dean Dillon is one of the most accomplished songwriters in country music. The Tennessee native began as a solo artist, releasing six studio albums between the years of 1982 and 1993. Since then, he has penned countless hits for some of the most prominent country stars. See a sampling of some of his most famous songs below:

Dillon is an esteemed member of both the Songwriters Hall of Fame and the Country Music Hall of Fame.
Ronnie Dunn co-wrote “I’ll Never Forgive My Heart” with Dean Dillon
Brooks and Dunn released “I’ll Never Forgive My Heart” in November 1994 as the second single from their album Waitin’ on Sundown. Ronnie Dunn, one half of the award-winning duo, co-wrote the song with his wife, Janine, and Dean Dillon.
The twangy ballad expresses frustration with the heart for letting unwelcome heartache in once again. Overall, the song was a hit and reached the sixth spot on the US Hot Country Songs chart.
