Frankie Torres And Gabrielle Zabosky Cover “Never Tear Us Apart” By INXS During The Voice Battles
Two members of Team Gwen delivered such a stellar battle performance that it ended in a steal from Reba McEntire!
Frankie Torres and Gabrielle Zabosky embraced their inner rockstars when they hit the stage for the Season 26 Voice battles. The powerhouse duo covered “Never Tear Us Apart” by the Australian rock band INXS.
INXS released “Never Tear Us Apart” in 1988 as the fourth single from their album Kick. The song reached the seventh spot on the all-genre Billboard Hot 100 chart.
In 2021, 33 years after its release, Rolling Stone ranked “Never Tear Us Apart” at the 282nd spot on its 500 Greatest Songs of All Time list.

Needless to say, Frankie and Gabrielle were under a lot of pressure to pull off their version of the song. But they rose to the occasion and delivered an electrifying battle performance that amazed all four coaches.
Reba Jumps In For A Last-Second Steal From Team Gwen
Michael Bublé was the first coach to speak after the performance. He loved how Frankie and Gabrielle embraced their harmonies, saying, “You guys just stepped up and killed it.”
Snoop Dogg agreed, telling the singers, “I was thoroughly impressed.”
Reba McEntire specifically complimented Frankie, telling her she loved her tone. However, she told Gwen she felt Gabrielle won the battle.
When it came time for Gwen to name the winner, she didn’t know what to do. She expressed how much she loved both performers. “My heart is beating out of my chest right now,” she said.
After thinking over her decision, Gwen named Gabrielle as the winner of the battle.
Just when Frankie thought her Voice journey had come to an end, Reba jumped in to steal her from Gwen at the last second! Each Voice coach can only use one steal during the battles, so Reba clearly has a lot of faith in Frankie’s talent.
Gwen was relieved to see that Frankie would remain on the show under Reba’s guidance. Reba admitted she told Gwen to pick Gabrielle as the winner so she “could have Frankie” for her own team. Her tactic paid off!
