Ahead of her debut as a The Voice judge, Reba McEntire performed on the stage of another reality talent competition Wednesday night – the America’s Got Talent stage.

Reba McEntire was a guest on the semi-final results show where she performed alongside contortionist Sofie Dossi. The collaboration indeed seems like a strange one, but McEntire and Dossi have a history.

Sofie Dossi competed on America’s Got Talent’s 11th season when she was just 14-years-old. Reba served as a guest judge and hit her Golden Buzzer for the talented teen, sending her straight to the live shows. Dossi made it to the Finals that season, but was cut just before the Top 5. She returned in a later season to compete on AGT: The Champions.

Reba brought back an old favorite for her performance on America’s Got Talent Wednesday (September 20).

The 68-year-old country legend sang her first No. 1 country hit, “Can’t Even Get The Blues No More.” The song was released as the second single from McEntire’s 1983 album Unlimited. While Reba performed the tune many times throughout her career, but her AGT performance was unique.

For the first time, roughly halfway through the song, Sofie Dossi descended from the ceiling to contribute her contortionist act to Reba’s set. When the song was over, Sofie joined Reba on stage and they reminisced about their history together.

“Thanks for the hospitality and Sofie and me getting to be back together after 7 years…So fun,” Reba told host Terry Crews.

Reba will be making her debut on The Voice Monday, September 25, as she replaces longtime coach Blake Shelton for the show’s 24th season. Reba’s fellow judges opened up about who they think might win this season, and it looks like the Country Queen is going to be the one to beat.

“We have a lot of country fans that watch The Voice and Reba is beloved by all of them,” John Legend told TODAY Show. “And she’s got some great country artists. I could see that working in her favor.”

Time will tell if Reba will take home this season’s The Voice trophy, but in the meantime, enjoy her performance from America’s Got Talent in the video below.
