The Voice Releases Teaser For New Season Showcasing Reba McEntire As “The Queen” Of The Competition

After appearing on all 23 seasons, Blake Shelton left The Voice earlier this year. With nine wins under his belt, Shelton was often referred to as “The King” of The Voice.

Now, there’s a new ruler in town…a country “queen” who stepped up to fill Shelton’s famous red chair. That person is none other than Reba McEntire!

The next season of The Voice doesn’t premiere until September 25. But the coaches have already started filming the blind auditions, battles, and knockouts.

We got our first look at McEntire on set with her fellow coaches Gwen Stefani, Niall Horan, and John Legend on July 20. The Voice shared a picture of all four coaches with host Carson Daly, and captioned it, “get in besties, we’re going to blinds.”

Then on Tuesday (August 29), The Voice released its first teaser trailer for Season 24. The teaser shows McEntire in action as the new “Queen” of The Voice.

In one hilarious bit, Stefani tells a contestant, “I’ve had two country hits,” in reference to her #1 duets with her husband, Blake Shelton. McEntire responds matter-of-factly, saying, “I’ve had more than two.

She has 25 #1 hits, in case you were wondering.

The clips show McEntire wearing a bejeweled crown and waving around a scepter. Oh, and she hands out tater tots to the contestants!

In another funny moment, Horan remarks that “Reba’s tots are soggy.” She jokingly responds, “Off with his head.”

Head below to watch McEntire in action as the new “Queen” of The Voice. We can’t wait to see more of her on the show!
