Reba McEntire, Carly Pearce, Jennifer Nettles, and Gabby Barrett come together to honor The Judds on a new tribute album.

The legendary duo The Judds were honored by their country music peers with a tribute album titled A Tribute to The Judds, which was released on Friday (Oct. 27). The album comes a little over a year after Naomi Judd died on April 30, 2022 at 76 years old.

A Tribute to The Judds was announced on August 11. In the announcement, Naomi’s daughter and bandmate Wynnona Judd wrote:

“To have all of these artists, most of which are my friends, come together and lend their voices and artistry to reimagine these songs, is so special. These songs are so timeless and I am so excited for them to live on for generations to come.”

Over 30 singers come together to pay tribute to The Judds.

The album, which includes tributes from Dolly Parton, Lainey Wilson, Jelly Roll, Cody Johnson, LeAnn Rimes, and many more, will benefit the National Alliance of Mental Illness (NAMI). Naomi struggled with depression for many years, and eventually lost her battle with the mental illness.

A couple of the tracks were already released, but we had to wait until October 27th for most of them.

Former RCA Nashville label chief Joe Galante – who signed The Judds in 1983 – said, “I think we were all stunned when the revelation came out on what happened with Naomi. Being part of the [Country Music Association] board, we have been dealing with mental health in the music industry, as that has been on everybody’s mind since the pandemic. We are doing what we can to honor Naomi’s memory and honor this cause, to help people across the board.”

Who sings “Girls Night Out” on The Judds’ tribute album?

The legendary Reba McEntire joined forces with Carly Pearce, Jennifer Nettles, and Gabby Barrett to sing The Judds’ 1985 song “Girls Night Out.”

This isn’t the first time McEntire has recorded “Girls Night Out!” She previously sang it in her Lifetime movie The Hammer with Melissa Peterman, who co-starred in the movie and also played Barbra Jean in the sitcom Reba.

Reba starts off the song, and each fellow female vocalist gets their own time to shine. Our favorite part, though, is when they come together for the chorus in perfect harmony. We could listen to this on repeat!

Listen to their recording below. Maybe one say there will be a Tribute to the Judds live event where all the artists will perform the songs they recorded!
