Randy Travis’ health

In 2013, Randy Travis suffered a near-fatal stroke and had to undergo emergency surgery to remove a clot from his brain. Miraculously, Randy survived the ordeal, but the stroke has had lasting effects on his longterm health. In addition to limited physical abilities, the singer has aphasia, a language disorder caused by damage in the area of the brain that controls language expression and comprehension.

For these reasons, Randy’s wife Mary is always by his side, helping him maneuver through life and often serves as his voice during interviews and public appearances.

We are happy to see Randy out and enjoying life!
