Jimmy Buffett Had Three Kids With His Wife Of 46 Years, Jane
Jimmy Buffett, the singer beloved for his beach-themed songs such as “Margaritaville,” died on September 1, 2023. He was 76 years old.
A statement released on Jimmy’s official social media pages says he “passed away peacefully on the night of September 1st surrounded by his family, friends, music and dogs.”

Jimmy was survived by his wife of 46 years, Jane, and their three children.

Jimmy & Jane’s Love Story
Jimmy was previously married to Margie Washichek in 1969. They divorced in 1972, and share no children.
The singer met Jane in 1971. She was a student at the University of South Carolina, and came to Key West for Spring Break.
Jimmy and Jane married six years later, in 1977. They said “I do” in Aspen, Colorado, and the Eagles performed at their wedding.

Things weren’t always smooth sailing for the Buffetts. After five years of marriage, they separated.
“I’d been with Jimmy since I was child, through the craziest times, and I didn’t have a clue who I was,” Jane once told TIME magazine. “So I left. I got sober.”
Jimmy also admitted to feeling worn down from his party lifestyle. “The hangovers started to feel like surgical recoveries,” he said.
The couple eventually reconciled in 1991.

Jimmy and Jane share three kids together. Their eldest, Savannah, was born in 1979. They welcomed another daughter, Delaney, in 1992. Later, the Buffetts adopted their son, Cameron, who was born in 1994.

Savannah Buffett
Savannah Buffett was only eight years old when she co-wrote two children’s books with her father. Those books were The Jolly Man and Trouble Dolls. She also appeared as one of her dad’s backup singers in his 1990 music video for “Jamaica Farewell.”
The eldest Buffett child got used to traveling at an extremely young age. As she writes on her website, she “had a passport before she could walk.”

Savannah later attended Pitzer College in California. She eventually traveled to Los Angeles, hoping to launch her own musical career.
During her time in LA, Savannah lived with members of the bands Maroon 5 and Phantom Planet. She said she acted as a “musical den mother” to the musicians during that time.
Savannah ended up creating her own radio show, which is called the Savannah Daydreamin’ Radio Hour. In addition, she was a musical supervisor on the 2006 family comedy film, Hoot.
Delaney Buffett
Sarah “Delaney” Buffett has her own IMDb page. That page credits her with serving as a producer on five episodes of the comedic web series City of Angles. She also produced three episodes of the web series My Astronaut.
Delaney produced a number of short films as well, including 2017’s Buried Treasure, 2018’s Up the Stairs, and 2019’s Wallace. Additionally, Delaney served as the executive producer on the 2018 TV movie Jimmy Buffett: Buried Treasure.

Under the “upcoming” section of her IMDb page, Delaney is credited with serving as the writer, director, and producer of the short film Pal.
Cameron Buffett
Not as much is known about Cameron Buffett in comparison to his sisters. He has an Instagram page where he occasionally posts photos of his pets and various travels. He also has a beautiful wife named Lara, who enjoys traveling with him.
It seems Cameron also likes playing tennis. One of Jimmy’s last posts on social media was a photo with Cameron on the tennis court in Long Island. He said Cameron was serving as his “coach.”

That photo was posted on June 20, and Jimmy passed away just a little over two months later.

Jimmy Buffett was devoted to philanthropy. He founded two charitable organizations, Singing for Change and Save the Manatee Club.
