A Country Artist and an Actress Find Lasting Love, The Sequel Continues

Kimberly Williams-Paisley and her husband Brad Paisley have been married for 20 years as of March. Despite their busy schedules, they have managed to keep their businesses going strong and their love even stronger.

Brad Paisley is a country music artist who has been delighting fans for over two decades.  Since releasing his debut platinum album Who Needs Pictures in 1999, Paisley has won numerous awards, including 3 Grammy Awards, 14 Country Music Association Awards, 2 American Music Awards, and 14 Country Music Awards. His success has made him a household name in the country music industry.

Kimberly Payne Williams-Paisley is an actress who started her career at the age of 13. She became famous for her breakout role as Annie in the 1991 movie Father of the Bride. She reprised the same role in the sequel Father of the Bride Part II in 1995. Over the years she has been nominated for and won numerous awards including MTV Movie Awards, Satellite Awards, and Heartland Film Festival Awards.

It is a wonder that the couple found one another with their long list of responsibilities, but they did just that with a little help from the big screen. The romantic story began when Paisley was with an ex-girlfriend watching Kimberly’s starring role in the Father of the Bride where the seed of interest was first planted.

Paisley enjoyed the first movie so much that four years later, now single, he found himself watching Father of the Bride Part II. It would seem he had Kimberly on his mind, but Cupid wasn’t ready to shoot the arrow quite yet.

Fast forward to 2001 when Paisley released his second studio album, Part Two. When Paisley was preparing to film a video for the song “I’m Going to Miss Her” from the album, he chose Kimberly to act out the catchy, comical tune with him. Just two years later Paisley got down on one knee and proposed.

One year later, on March 15, 2003, they married during what was to be a wedding rehearsal dinner. It seemed that arrow found its way into both of their hearts and their family grew in 2006 and 2009 when they welcomed baby boys into their world.

Over the years, while balancing their growing family and businesses, Paisley continued to pursue his music career and his wife focused on her acting career. In 2020, when the COVID-19 pandemic struck the United States, Kimberly took the camera and Brad took requests and performed live streams for their fans in lockdown. Later, the Paisleys recognized the need to expand beyond their artistic pursuits and start a business that was close to their hearts. They teamed up with Belmont University in Nashville to launch The Store, which is a community service center that provides health and legal aid services to those in need. In its first year, The Store served over 1.3 million meals to the community.

Through years of birthdays, anniversaries, challenges, and memorable moments, Brad and Kimberly have apparently mastered a good deal of what makes a long-lasting marriage. With the release of Father of the Bride Part 3 (ish), it seems likely that the Paisleys, too, will follow suit and continue to bring us new chapters of their lives together.
