That’s a lot of time on the road for a 90 year old! But, Willie wouldn’t have it any other way. In a new interview with AARP, Willie opens up about always being asked about retiring, his trusty sidekick Trigger, and so much more.

About retiring, the legend says, “Jokingly, I retire after every tour. But I’m always ready to go back again. I like the bus. I have everything I need on the bus. I never have to go into a hotel room anywhere. It’s not that bad.”

He isn’t lying, either! In an interview with Sammy Hagar, Willie told him, “Well, I say, ‘This is my last tour.’ Yeah, every time I say ‘This is the last one.'”

It’s safe to say that Willie will perform as long as he physically can. Read the full interview here, and watch him perform at his recent Luck Reunion on March 17, 2023, below.
