Team Reba Competes In The Voice Knockouts
Katie O cranked up the heat with her cover of “Turn On the Radio” by her Voice coach, Reba McEntire, during the Season 26 knockouts.
18-year-old Katie O earned a four-chair turn for her blind audition performance of LeAnn Rimes‘ “One Way Ticket.”
“I’ve always loved this song, and I’m just tickled to pieces for you being here on The Voice,” said The Voice’s resident country coach, Reba McEntire. “You’ve got a lot of heart and soul in your singing, and you were so cute when I turned around. I love your smile, too.”
Despite some convincing arguments from the other coaches, Katie O decided to join Team Reba.

Katie O competed against 323 during the battles while singing Little River Band’s “Lonesome Loser.” She held her own against the trio, and Reba chose her as the winner of the battle.
The young singer said it was “a dream come true” to continue working with Reba. She advanced to the knockouts, where she competed against her teammates Frankie Torres and Tate Renner.
Katie O Delivers Red-Hot Performance Of Coach Reba’s “Turn On The Radio”
Katie O aimed big with her knockout performance, as she covered one of her coach’s songs. She performed “Turn On the Radio,” which Reba released in 2010.
“Turn On the Radio” was the lead single from Reba’s album All the Women I Am. It reached the #1 spot on the Hot Country Songs chart and also topped the country chart in Canada.
Additionally, “Turn on the Radio” claimed the 53rd slot on the all-genre Billboard Hot 100 chart.
“Turn on the Radio” gave Katie O the opportunity to showcase her powerful voice. The fiery performance also highlighted how she can take command of a stage and captivate an audience.
Katie O surely felt a lot of pressure to impress her coach, considering the fact that she was singing her song. But she didn’t need to worry…because her performance blew Reba away.
“Katie O, you might have been singing a Reba song, but you made it a Katie O song,” Reba said.
Reba chose Katie O as the winner of her knockout. Those who watched the episode assumed that outcome since Torres’ and Renner’s rehearsals and performances were not shown on-air.
The Voice later shared a shortened clip of Katie O singing “Turn On the Radio,” which you can watch below. We’d love to hear her sing another one of Reba’s songs in the future!
