Trisha Yearwood & Dancing Violinist Lindsey Stirling Unite For “O Holy Night” On 2023’s CMA Country Christmas Special
CMA Country Christmas gained two new hosts for its 2023 TV special. Trisha Yearwood and Amy Grant united to co-host the special for the first time together.
Yearwood previously hosted CMA Country Christmas in 2019, so she had some prior experience. In Grant’s case, 2023 was her first time serving as a host!
Both of them were thrilled to play such important roles in the holiday special. It aired on ABC on Thursday, December 14, 2023.
Some of the performers included Lainey Wilson, Lady A, Ashley McBryde, and The War and Treaty. Grant and Yearwood also performed during the special.
Together, Grant and Yearwood delivered soaring renditions of “Hark! The Herald Angels Sing” and “Joy To The World.”
Yearwood also performed on her own…though not entirely. She was joined by dancing violinist Lindsey Stirling for a stunning performance of “O Holy Night.”

Stirling was a quarter-finalist on Season 5 of America’s Got Talent. Since then, she’s developed a strong following online, and has over 13.8 million subscribers on YouTube at the time of this writing.
Devoted CMA Country Christmas fans will recognize Stirling from past specials. She’s performed solo and with other artists.
One of her most memorable performances was from 2020, when she joined Darius Rucker for “What Child Is This?”

Stirling and Yearwood’s rendition of “O Holy Night” from 2023’s CMA Country Christmas was another standout performance. It was absolutely stunning.
Parts of the performance were soft and tender, while others were strong and powerful. We expect nothing less from someone as talented as Yearwood behind the song. And of course, having Stirling’s beautiful accompaniment on violin was the icing on the cake.
