New Willie Nelson Docuseries Coming To Paramount+

Willie Nelson & His Family Are The Subjects Of A New, Four-Part Docuseries Premiering On Paramount+
Country music legend Willie Nelson had quite the year in 2023. He celebrated his 90th birthday, and was also inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
Willie is capping off this monumental year with the release of a new docuseries about his life and family. The new series, appropriately titled, WILLIE NELSON & FAMILY, will premiere exclusively on Paramount+.
The four-part series will begin streaming on Paramount+ starting on Thursday, December 21.
As CMT reports, Emmy and Grammy Award-winning filmmaker Thom Zimny served as the director and executive producer on the project, alongside Oren Moverman and Taylor Sheridan of Yellowstone fame.
“Willie’s music formed the soundtrack of my youth,” Sheridan said. “His songwriting helped shape me as a storyteller. Willie is a national treasure, and his story will serve as inspiration for all those seeking their own path that leads away from the clouds of compromise. Willie has opened his life to us — warts and all — to serve as a beacon to overcoming failure, realizing dreams, and keeping your compass once the dream is achieved.”
Paramount+ Releases Trailer For New Willie Nelson Docuseries
Willie and Paramount+ recently shared the trailer for WILLIE NELSON & FAMILY. The nearly two-minute trailer gives fans an idea of what to expect from the new series.
The series will follow Willie throughout his life and career, and clearly won’t shy away from exploring some of the lower moments in his history.
While Willie is obviously the main focus of the project, the series will also shine a light on his family and loved ones, such as his children and his late sister, Bobbie. Their voices and contributions will add depth to the series, as viewers gain a fuller understanding of the artist and person that Willie is. Other musicians, producers, lawyers, managers, and other figures in Willie’s life also make appearances in the docuseries.
WILLIE NELSON & FAMILY already has a solid reputation in the film community. The series premiered at the Sundance Film Festival earlier this year, and received critical acclaim.
