A New Movie Is Set To Be Released Based On Priscilla Presley’s 1985 Memoir About Her Relationship With Elvis
Last year, the world watched Elvis Presley‘s life story unfold on the big screen in the Baz Luhrmann-directed Elvis movie. Austin Butler portrayed Elvis in the film, and won a Golden Globe for his performance.
The Elvis movie centered on Elvis’ relationship with his manager, Colonel Tom Parker. Tom Hanks played Colonel Parker in the film.
Elvis earned a wealth of praise from the Presley family, especially from Elvis’ ex-wife, Priscilla.

Now, a new movie is coming out about Elvis’ life, though this time the focus is on Priscilla herself.
The film, fittingly titled Priscilla, is based off of her 1985 memoir Elvis and Me. Sofia Coppola is the director and writer, while Cailee Spaeny plays Priscilla and Jacob Elordi plays Elvis.

Fans Get First Look At New Priscilla Movie In Teaser Trailer
The first trailer for Priscilla was released on Wednesday (June 21). While not much is said in the 45-second clip, it is packed full of stunning visuals. We see Priscilla grow up through the years, from the time she met Elvis as a teen to their wedding day in 1967.
Near the end of the trailer, someone (presumably Priscilla’s mother) can be heard asking a young Priscilla, “Priscilla, what about boys at school? There must be some handsome ones.” Priscilla gives her a look, seemingly indicating that Elvis is the only person on her mind.
Priscilla responded to the movie’s trailer following its release. She said:
“I am excited about the interpretation of my book by the masterful Sofia Coppola. She has such an extraordinary perspective and I have always been such an admirer of her work. I’m certain this movie will take everyone on an emotional journey.”
