Most of the main cast of the beloved sitcom Reba, which ran from 2001-2007, reunited for the first time in a while to celebrate the birthday of one of their own.

The show starred the talented Reba McEntire as Reba Hart, a witty, resilient single mother navigating the complexities of family life after her husband leaves her for his dental hygienist. With humor and heart, Reba tackles divorce, blended families, and the trials of parenthood. The ensemble cast, including JoAnna Garcia Swisher, Melissa Peterman, and Steve Howey, delivers memorable performances, creating a relatable and endearing portrayal of modern family dynamics. Reba remains a cherished classic, celebrated for its sharp wit, genuine emotion, and McEntire’s charismatic lead.

For years, many fans have begged for a Reba reunion or reboot, to which the cast has said they are game for! In 2020, McEntire told The TODAY Show:

Melissa Peterman [who played Barbra Jean] started it out and we’re all talking, hoping to get back together. We miss each other. It was a fun group to get to play with, work with, so we’d love to do it. Even if it’s two-hour movie or a… I don’t know, whatever. We’d love to get back together. They’re wonderful people.”

A few months later, the singer/actress said, “We’ve really been trying hard to do a reboot of the Reba show. I really want to work with the people that I got to work with during that six and a half years. We wanted to get back together like a reunion and have fun, so hopefully that will happen.”

Reba show reunion for Christopher Rich’s birthday

On October 5th, McEntire – and her boyfriend Rex Linn – got together with her TV ex-husband Brock, played by Christopher Rich, Peterman, Garcia Swisher, and Howey.

Fans were delighted to see them all together and begged, once again, for a reboot!

“We neeeeeeeed more of the Hart family. Even a 2 hour special,” one fan wrote.

“Please we need a reboot, Reba’s cast was perfect, not a bad episode in the whole series!!” said another.

Peterman put together a funny video compilation of their night celebrating Rich’s 70th birthday. Set to the tune of the Charlie’s Angels theme song, the video began with a graphic of McEntire, Peterman, and Garcia Swisher’s photoshopped into the iconic TV shows’ logo as “Brock’s Angels.”

The video also included photos from the night, as well as a clip of Garcia Swisher singing “Happy Birthday” to her TV dad. Peterman then filmed McEntire, and said, “It’s too bad we don’t have other people that sing around here! Oh, hi Reba!”
