Reba McEntire Gets Ready To Return To TV
The Reba McEntire-led sitcom Happy’s Place will be back on the air in a month—and to celebrate, the show just released a new trailer for its upcoming season.
Happy’s Place premiered last year (2024) on NBC. The show follows Bobbie, a strong-willed woman who inherits her late father’s pub. Her world turns upside down when she meets Isabella, her younger half-sister, whom she never knew she had.
With Isabella as her new business partner, Bobbie must learn how to run Happy’s Place alongside her. Although they don’t always see eye-to-eye, they form a special bond before the end of Season 1.
Other characters include:
- Gabby – Played by Reba McEntire’s real-life best friend and former Reba co-star Melissa Peterman. Gabby is the bartender at Happy’s Place. She wants nothing more than to be Bobbie’s best friend. She’s known for her over-the-top personality, but also has a kind heart.
- Emmett – Played by Reba McEntire’s real-life fiancé Rex Linn. Emmett is the cook at Happy’s Place. He has a no-nonsense attitude and rarely gets emotional, but has a soft spot for Bobbie. Some romantic feelings seemed to be blossoming between them at the end of Season 1.
- Takoda – Played by Yellowstone alum Tokala Black Elk. Takoda is the waiter and handyman at Happy’s Place. He can often be relied on for solid, wise advice, and is close friends with Steve.
- Steve – Played by Alaska Daily star Pablo Castelblanco. Steve is the pub’s accountant. He struggles with OCD and germaphobia, which he finds exhausting. Beyond that, he’s known for his witty personality and funny quips he makes to the folks at Happy’s Place.
Season 1 of Happy’s Place also featured some special guests. Two of those guest stars, Steve Howey and Christopher Rich, were former actors on Reba McEntire’s Reba sitcom.
We recently learned that another Reba alum, JoAnna Garcia Swisher, will have a guest role on Season 2 of Happy’s Place.

Happy’s Place Returns On November 7 – Watch The Trailer For Its Second Season
On Monday (October 6), McEntire and NBC shared a brand-new trailer for Season 2 of Happy’s Place, which premieres on November 7.
The one-minute trailer opens with a hilarious interaction between Bobbie and two fellas in the bar. Then, it cuts to a scene of Bobbie telling Emmett she’d like a double bacon cheeseburger with avocado, since she’s “trying to eat healthy.”
One of the funniest moments showcased in the trailer comes when the Happy’s Place employees have to deal with a mouse inside the pub. Isabella tells Bobbie, “Let me be the calm, measured leader we need…” before screaming as the mouse scurries over her foot.
We also see a few scenes teasing a romance between Bobbie and Emmett, leaving us to wonder if they’ll finally take a leap of faith and become a couple. It seems Bobbie is wondering the same thing, as she can be heard telling Gabby, “Emmett is cute, but the men are the ones that are supposed to ask the women out.”
“That hasn’t been true for 30 years,” Gabby responds.
Firing back, Bobbie goes, “I haven’t dated in 30 years!“
Head below to watch that scene and other comical moments in the new trailer for Season 2 of Happy’s Place . Don’t forget to mark your calendars for November 7 so you don’t miss the premiere!
