Priscilla Presley Shares Where She Stands With Granddaughter Riley Keough: “We Were Never Not On Good Terms”

Priscilla Presley Addresses Relationship With Riley Keough Following Legal Dispute Over Lisa Marie Presley’s Estate

Priscilla Presley and Riley Keough were involved in a months-long legal dispute over Lisa Marie Presley‘s will and estate. The dispute has since been resolved, and Riley is now the sole heir.

In addition, Riley now owns her grandfather Elvis‘ Graceland estate in Memphis, Tennessee.

Riley also oversees the sub-trusts established for her 14-year-old half sisters, Harper and Finley Lockwood. As for Priscilla, she was appointed as a special adviser to Lisa Marie’s trust. Priscilla will receive a monthly payment for her role.

Through the dispute, rumors swirled online that Riley and Priscilla were not getting along. But Priscilla seemingly put those rumors to rest when she shared a photo with all three of her granddaughters in June.

Riley Keough Says Things Between Her And Priscilla “Have Never Not Been Happy”

Riley recently spoke with Vanity Fair about where her relationship with Priscilla stands these days. She too, dismissed the rumors of a feud with her grandmother. “Things with Grandma will be happy,” she said. “They’ve never not been happy.”

The Daisy Jones & The Six star continued to say:

“There was a bit of upheaval, but now everything’s going to be how it was. She’s a beautiful woman, and she was a huge part of creating my grandfather’s legacy and Graceland. It’s very important to her. He was the love of her life. Anything that would suggest otherwise in the press makes me sad because, at the end of the day, all she wants is to love and protect Graceland and the Presley family and the legacy. That’s her whole life. So it’s a big responsibility she has tried to take on. None of that stuff has really ever been a part of our relationship prior. She’s just been my grandma.”

Priscilla Presley Reveals State Of Her Relationship With Riley After Legal Dispute

Even more recently, Priscilla opened up about where she stands with her granddaughter. She told The Hollywood Reporter:

“Riley is now the executor [of Lisa Marie’s estate], which should be right, obviously, being her daughter. Riley and I are on good terms. We were never not on good terms. That was all publicity.“

Priscilla added that she and Riley were going to dinner that evening. “We understand what needs to be done,” she said. “I’m there for her. She knows that. She wants me there for her to help her.”
