Post Malone Gives A Laid-Back Rendition Of A George Strait Classic
Post Malone has proven time and time again that classic country music holds a special place in his heart. The “I Had Some Help” singer has covered multiple songs from country legends over the years.
Just a few examples of when Post Malone honored those who have paved the way include the time he covered Hank Williams’s “My Bucket’s Got a Hole in It” on Nashville’s famous Broadway strip.
Another time, Malone gave a tribute to Toby Keith just a month after his passing with a touching rendition of “As Good as I Once Was.”
Additionally, at Stagecoach in 2024, Malone surprised fans with a full set of country classics, covering songs like “One More Last Chance” by Vince Gill, “Chattahoochee” by Alan Jackson, and “Three Wooden Crosses” by Randy Travis.

Most recently, Malone put his own spin on George Strait’s 1987 hit “Ocean Front Property.”
George Strait released “Ocean Front Property” in the late ’80s as his album’s lead single and title track. The song became a number one hit in both the U.S. and Canada, topping the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart. Over the years, it has remained one of Straits’ most timeless songs and has been certified platinum by the RIAA.
In a video posted to his TikTok, Post Malone sits in a folding chair with a guitar in hand, dressed in a cowboy hat, button-up shirt, and jeans. It looks like he might be backstage at an event, taking a break with friends.
As one of them records, he starts strumming and singing an acoustic version of “Ocean Front Property.”
The comment section of the video was flooded with people saying how much they loved this cover from Malone.
“Country looks good on you, Malone,” one user wrote.
“I would literally kill for a full album of 80s/90s covers,” another said.
“This is my favorite Posty era ever!” exclaimed someone else.
