During country night on The Masked Singer, the three competitors performed country songs for their solos. When Macaw took to the stage, he sang “Live Like You Were Dying” by Tim McGraw.

Tim released “Live Like You Were Dying” in 2004 as the first single off of his album of the same title. The song claimed the #1 spot on the Hot Country Songs chart. It also crossed over to the all-genre Billboard Hot 100 chart, and peaked at the 29th position there.

“Live Like You Were Dying” was well-awarded following its release. It won Single and Song of the Year at both the CMA and ACM Awards. The song also won a Grammy for Best Country Song.

“Live Like You Were Dying” is not an easy song to sing. But Macaw was willing to rise up to the challenge when he performed it on The Masked Singer.

Macaw ended up delivering a tender and emotional rendition of the song. His performance left many viewers feeling like he must be a singer, since he seemed like a natural onstage.

Some people theorize Macaw may be American Idol finalist David Archuleta.

After his solo, Macaw battled with Fairy over Shania Twain‘s “That Don’t Impress Me Much.” Fairy lost the battle, and was unmasked. Axolotl was also eliminated and unmasked during the episode.

So Macaw emerged as the victor from the Masked Singer‘s country night! Head below to watch his performance of “Live Like You Were Dying,” and let us know who you think he is.

One thing’s for certain…Macaw is a talented vocalist!
