Lainey Wilson Brings Country Music Legend Randy Travis Onstage During Show At Billy Bob’s Texas
Lainey Wilson had a big surprise in store for the sold-out crowd at her show at Billy Bob’s Texas on Friday (September 8). That surprise was country music legend Randy Travis!
“It ain’t every night you get to bring out the legend @therandytravis,” Lainey wrote in a post on social media after the show. The post contained a slideshow of images, including one of her and Randy laughing together backstage.

Wilson’s fans were thrilled on her behalf that she got the chance to spend time with Travis. Some of the comments on her post were:

Lainey Wilson Had To Sing Through A Megaphone Because Lighting Struck The Sound Equipment
Wilson’s show at Billy Bob’s was eventful in more ways than one. Lightning struck the venue’s sound equipment, resulting in an outage.
Since Wilson’s microphone didn’t work, she improvised. A crew member held a megaphone for her to sing into to help project her voice. She also opted not to sing her own songs in that moment, and delivered a Keith Whitley cover instead.
Wilson made the most with what she had, and the outage thankfully didn’t last too long. Watch a video of her singing into the megaphone below. What a show!
