A Voice Singer’s Outstanding Rendition Of Joe Dee’s Tune

Now, “Bring on the Rain” is sure to experience a resurgence in popularity thanks to one singer’s powerful cover on The Voice.

Team Kelly‘s Holly Brand sang “Bring on the Rain” while competing in the playoffs for Season 23. During rehearsals, she told Clarkson the song makes her think of her brother in the military.

Clarkson encouraged Brand to channel that emotional connection into her performance. That’s exactly what she did, and she earned a lot of praise for doing so. Some of the comments on the YouTube video of her performance were:

“Holly, you truly told the whole story in this song and it was right in your wheelhouse. This was a beautiful rendition and I cannot wait to see what you do next. You are a vocal talent that has so much to say and I’m so glad to know you.”

“She’s so AMAZING!!! I can’t wait to read “Team Kelly’s COUNTRY powerhouse Holly Brand wins Blake’s final season of The Voice” in the news headlines!”

“Yeah, she was a definite choice for the Top 8… She probably has the best shot to beat Blake’s team this year.”

“Holly does have a great voice. One of the better country artists on this show.”

“Said it from the blinds and still sticking to it. She is the winner of this season.”

Clarkson was also impressed with Brand’s performance. She chose to keep her on her team, making her a member of the Top 8!

Head below to watch Brand sing “Bring on the Rain.” Then you’ll understand why so many people (and Clarkson) loved her performance.
