Garth Brooks and his wife, Trisha Yearwood, have canceled all their upcoming commitments and will quarantine for the next two weeks after someone on their inner-circle tested positive for COVID-19.
The announcement marks the second time that the power couple has chosen to quarantine after being exposed to the virus. The first incident occurred last summer, when Brooks’ daughter, Allie, tested positive.

Brooks and Yearwood were previously preparing to co-host The Ellen DeGeneres Show. According to All Access, Brooks explained that his artist team all initially passed a pre-test. Unfortunately, someone out of the group registered positive after the second round of testing was administered.Â
Brooks’ team shared the news with followers on Twitter on Thursday, but they did not offer many details about the situation. His team stated:Â
“Due to someone on their team testing positive for Covid-19 and out of an abundance of caution, Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood are cancelling everything and testing and quarantining for two weeks.”Â
