Country Singers React To Charlie Daniels’ Death

On July 6, news broke that country music legend Charlie Daniels had passed away at the age of 83.
“Country music and southern rock legend Charlie Daniels has passed,” read a press release about Daniels’ death. “The Country Music Hall of Fame and Grand Ole Opry member died this morning [July 6] at Summit Medical Center in Hermitage, Tennessee.”

The press release stated, “Doctors determined the cause of death was a hemorrhagic stroke.”

Known for his expert musicianship and for creating iconic hits such as “The Devil Went Down to Georgia,” Daniels had a great impact on country music and its artists. His influence can be seen, heard, and felt in the numerous tributes that came pouring in after the news of his death was announce.
Among the dozens of posts made in Daniels’ honor, many of them express the same message. The artists speak about how kind and welcoming Daniels was, and how he was always there to cheer on other artists, no matter how young or old they were.
