Country Music Hall Of Fame Opens Special Dolly Parton Exhibit

Country Music legend Dolly Parton was inducted as a member of the Country Music Hall of Fame in 1999. In addition to her success in music, the “Jolene” singer was recognized for her prowess as an actress, businesswoman, and philanthropist.

Dolly Parton Exhibit Opens In Nashville
On Tuesday, May 20th, a brand new exhibit honoring the country music icon was unveiled at the Country Music Hall of Fame & Museum in Nashville. Dolly Parton: Journey of a Seeker focuses on “turning points in Parton’s life and career through the decades, where she overcame obstacles and ignored naysayers to become one of the most beloved and widely recognized celebrities across the world.”
Items on display include Dolly’s instruments, handwritten song manuscripts, wardrobe items, and more.
The exhibit will remain open until September 30th, 2026. Viewing is included with any Country Music Hall of Fame museum admission. Information on tickets or how to become a member can be found here.

The Country Music Hall Of Fame Was A “Dream Come True” For Dolly Parton
Fellow country stars Alison Krauss and Union Station performed “Coat of Many Colors” and “The Seeker” during the grand opening celebration of Dolly Parton: Journey of a Seeker. Afterward, the honoree herself expressed how proud she felt to be a part of the Country Music Hall of Fame.
“I was so honored many, many years ago when they inducted me into the Country Music Hall of Fame…I just think it’s wonderful that I have been able to see my little girl dreams come true.”Â

The Tennessee native came from humble beginnings but created one of the most prosperous and impactful careers in country music. Dolly reflected:
“It’s a long way from the top of the Smoky Mountains to the top of the world, and thanks to you and all the fans and the people that have helped me along the way. I made it. I’m so grateful because it didn’t come without sacrifice.”Â
