Ronnie Dunn Jokes On Social Media After He Injures His Leg In Skiing Incident
Brooks & Dunn’s Ronnie Dunn took to social media on Tuesday (December 3) to share that he recently injured his leg while skiing. The “Neon Moon” singer posted a photo of his leg wrapped in a bandage, although he didn’t share the specific nature of his injury.
“Changing these lyrics from ‘I don’t dance with anybody but you’ to ‘I probably shouldn’t ski anymore at 72’….? 8 week vacation !!” Dunn joked in the caption of his post.

The lyrics Dunn referenced in his caption come from his solo song “I Don’t Dance” from his 2011 self-titled album.
Dunn’s fans shared their well-wishes for his speedy recovery in the comments section of his post, writing:
“God speed on your recovery.”
“Hope you’re okay soon Ronnie. Take care & keep up with your therapy. Range of motion is key.”
“We reach a time where our body reminds us of our age. Relax, take it easy heal up so you can do what you do best.”
“Don’t let the old man in, Ronnie!”
“Ouch! Hope you feel better soon!!”
“Oh no! I hope you get back to health quickly.”
Brooks & Dunn Recently Won The CMA’s Vocal Duo Of The Year Award
While there’s never a “good” time to be injured, it’s a good thing Dunn already has some time off in his schedule to recover from his injury. The break comes after a busy year for Brooks & Dunn, who toured throughout 2024 and released a new album on November 15.
The album, Reboot II, contains reimagined versions of Brooks & Dunn’s most iconic songs. Each track features a collaborator, with artists such as Megan Moroney, Riley Green, and Morgan Wallen contributing to the project.
Brooks & Dunn will kick off their 2025 Neon Moon Tour on Friday, March 7, in Bakersfield, California. David Lee Murphy will join them on the trek.
The duo will move into their tour as newly crowned CMA Award-winners. They won the Vocal Duo of the Year Award at the ceremony on November 20…marking their 15th win in the category. The last time they won was 18 years ago in 2006.
Their victory brought their total number of CMA Award wins to 19. They tied with Chris Stapleton for the most wins in the ceremony’s history.

Brooks & Dunn also performed during the CMA Awards. They joined Jelly Roll to sing their reimagined version of “Believe.” Watch their performance below.
We wish Ronnie Dunn the best and will be praying for his quick and complete recovery.
