Billy Ray Cyrus Mourns Death Of His Mother-In-Law

The Cyrus family is mourning the recent passing of one of their beloved family members.

Many members took to social media to recognize the life of their “Mammie” Loretta Jean Finely, who was mother to Billy Ray Cyrus’ wife Tish. Finley passed away on August 19th, 2020 but the news was not made public until a few days later.

Along with their father, both Miley Cyrus and sister Noah shared their deep sense of grief over Mammie’s passing on social media.

“Our family lost a beautiful light that shined so brightly and influenced us all to keep faith in a better tomorrow. My thoughts and prayers are with Tish and the kids. Loretta Jean Finley “Mammie” you will be missed but never forgotten,” wrote Billy Ray.

“It’s taken me a few days to muster up something to say… I lost my grama Mammie who was an angel before she gained her wings Wednesday night. there’s no woman or man that I will come across in this lifetime that has the heart my Mammie had. her dedication to God was more than I can explain through an Instagram post…” Noah Cyrus said alongside a photo of her memorial card.

In addition, Miley Cyrus also mourned the passing of Mammie with a few videos of her and different moments they had shared.

Billy Ray’s wife, Tish Cyrus, most recently shared a photo of her and her mom along with Billy in February saying “Love my mom so much…gosh time goes by fast.”
