At 61 years old, Diffie left behind a legacy of top ten hits, including five No. 1 songs. Since his death, Diffie’s wife, Tara, has continued to share tributes to her late husband on social media. The Diffie family has also asked fans to help keep the singer’s legacy alive by “celebrating his life and achievements.” On Sunday, the family asked fans to wear green and share a photo in honor of Diffie. They wrote:

“With tomorrow being 1 year since Dad has passed, in honor of him we will be wearing green Monday, March 29th. We invite all of you to participate in celebrating his life and achievements. We would love for you to post a picture of you wearing your green as well!”

On Monday, one of Diffie’s sons also shared an emotional letter to his father on Diffie’s Facebook page. The letter reflected favorite family moments with Diffie and highlighted how much he missed his father.

“I want you to know that I am so appreciative that I had the opportunity to to spend 13 years on the road with you, I will cherish every second that I was able to spend on that bus with you. We had so many great experiences traveling the country, I learned so much in that time spent with you,” Diffie’s son shared.
