They took the stage, which was all decked out with Balsam Hill decor, for the special that aired on Thursday, December 14 on ABC at 8/7c.

Which artists performed at CMA Country Christmas?

Along with hosting, Amy Grant and Trisha Yearwood both performed solo, as well as together! Other performers also included Jordan Davis (“O Come All Ye Faithful”), The War and Treaty (“Christmas (Baby, Please Come Home)”), Jon Pardi (“Beer For Santa”), Ashley McBryde and violinist Lindsey Stirling (“You’re a Mean One Mr. Grinch”), Lady A (“What Christmas Means to Me”), Lainey Wilson & Zach Williams (“Go Tell It On The Mountain”). Grant performed her song “Grown Up Christmas List,” while Yearwood sang “O Holy Night” with some help from Stirling.

Trisha and Amy took the stage for not just one, but two Christmas classics. First, they opened the show with “Joy To The World” accompanied by Lindsey Stirling, and later on, they sang “Hark! The Herald Angels Sing.”

The two songs were perfect for Grant and Yearwood, vocalists who grew up singing in church. These are the quintessential church Christmas songs, and bring us back to our childhood, attending Christmas services with our parents.
