Alan Jackson’s New Grandson Is Here – See His Precious First Photos

Alan Jackson’s Daughter, Mattie, Welcomes First Child With Husband Connor Smith
Alan Jackson has a new grandson, and his first photos are absolutely precious.
The “Remember When” singer and his wife, Denise, share three daughters: Mattie, Ali, and Dani. Ali and her husband, Sam Bradshaw, welcomed a baby boy in December 2022 named Jackson Alvie Bradshaw.
Then, in February of this year, Mattie and her husband, Connor Smith, announced they were pregnant with their first child. They revealed they were also expecting a son.
The couple’s baby boy was born on June 20, one day after Mattie’s own birthday. Mattie and Connor waited a week to share the news on social media.
“Wesley Alan Smith joined our little family on June 20th, the absolute best birthday gift I could have ever imagined,” Mattie said in her birth announcement. “There is no greater honor in life than being chosen by God to be your mom. And no sweeter joy than watching your daddy adore you and protect you already.”
Mattie also explained the special meaning behind her son’s name. “Wesley” is in honor of Connor’s grandfather, while his middle name, “Alan,” obviously honors Mattie’s dad.
“You have all my heart and my prayers, baby boy,” Mattie said. “If you’re anything like both your namesakes (Connorâs grandad and @officialalanjackson ), you’ve got quite a life ahead of you.”

Mattie also shared several photos from Wesley’s first week of life. The adorable snapshots show Mattie and Connor smiling with Wesley shortly after his birth and as they got ready to bring him home from the hospital.
Other pictures show Wesley at home with his new “big sister,” the Smiths’ dog, Ryman.
Mattie included some super cute photos of Wesley wearing a hat with the words “little bitty” embroidered on the front. The phrase references his grandpa Alan’s #1 hit from 1996, “Little Bitty.”
The song includes lyrics such as, “Well, it’s alright to be little bitty. A little hometown or a big old city. Might as well share, might as well smile. Life goes on for a little bitty while.”
