Nine-time ACM Award winner Vince Gill was joined on the historic Ryman stage by Ashley McBryde for a performance of “When I Call Your Name” honoring Tony Brown. Prior to their performance, Ashley McBryde opened up on the Red Carpet about sharing the stage with Vince for “one of the most timeless and one of the most heartbreaking country songs of all time.”

“I’m singing Patty Loveless’s part, so there’s no pressure, luckily,” McBryde joked. “Luckily, you don’t have to be nervous at all when you’re singing an icon’s part with an icon.”

“When I Call Your Name” was co-written by Vince Gill and released as the third single and title track of his 1990 album of the same name. Patty Loveless sang background vocals on the Tony Brown-produced track, but didn’t appear in the official music video for the song.

The full televised special will air on Tuesday, September 24 at 9pm/8pm central on Merit Street, a TV channel owned by Dr. Phil.
