Wynonna Judd announced Monday that she will be embarking on a headlining tour this fall!
The BACK TO WY Tour will take fans through every cut of Wynonna’s first two solo albums, “Wynonna” and “Tell Me Why,” from 1992 and 1993 respectively.
“Weâre going to travel back to the 90’s, celebrating my start as a solo artist and performing my first TWO albums, “Wynonna” and “Tell Me Why,” top to bottom, back to back, in their entirety! This means we get to play the hits, the deep cuts, and everything in between,” Wynonna wrote on social media. “As I sit and listen to these two records, Iâm flooded with the memories that surrounded that time in my life. The fans held me up and supported me through a season of change in 1992, and I now see âherstoryâ repeating itself. This music healed me then, and is healing me now. The circle of life continues⦔
Presale tickets through Wynonna’s fan club go on sale Tuesday (August 22) and will be available to the general public on Friday.
The BACK TO WY Tour will kick off in Indianapolis, Indiana, on October 26 and will take the singer to 15 cities before wrapping in Knoxville, Tennessee, on December 1.

Wynonna’s tour announcement comes roughly six months after Wynonna concluded her wildly popular The Judds: The Final Tour.
The Judds: The Final Tour was a celebration of the life and legacy of Wynonna’s mother and The Judds partner, Naomi. The final tour had been announced prior to Naomi’s death in April 2022 and Wynonna announced that she was going to continue with the tour in honor of her mom.
Tanya Tucker, Faith Hill, Trisha Yearwood, Martina McBride, Kelsea Ballerini and more joined Wynonna for the special tour that featured the Judds’ biggest hits from their six studio albums released between 1983 and 1991.

After the Judds disbanded in 1991 following Naomi’s Hepatitis C diagnosis, Wynonna went solo. The “No One Else On Earth” singer found huge success as a soloist with three of her eight albums earning multi-platinum or diamond status. Her combined success as a soloist and as a member of The Judds have made Wynonna one of the best-selling country artists of all time.
With hit singles like “She Is His Only Need,” “I Saw The Light” and “No One Else On Earth” from her self-titled debut solo album and “Girls With Guitars,” “Is It Over Yet” and “Tell Me Why,” the title track for her sophomore album, Wynonna has no shortage of material for her solo BACK TO WY Tour.
Wynonna told PEOPLE that things are different for her now than they were when she first embarked on her solo career.
“I think the pressure’s off in terms of me feeling like I have to prove myself. I can now enjoy myself,” she told the outlet. “Back then there was a lot of proving and showing up and having to act like I knew what I was doing, which is the biggest scam on earth.”
“Now I don’t have that kind of pressure. I don’t have that on myself. I just want to enjoy myself and enjoy it with the fans because they’re my family. Especially now that Mom is gone, I rely on the fans more than ever,” she added.
