In an upcoming interview with Oklahoma City news anchor Rebecca Marsh, Toby Keith opens up about his cancer battle, his return to the stage, and most importantly, his faith.

Keith sat down with Marsh for a two-part interview with KWTV, titled ONE-ON-ONE WITH TOBY KEITH, will air Wednesday, January 24 and Thursday, January 25 on two different news stations in Oklahoma. KWTV has released two sneak peek clips on their social media.

The first, posted on January 20, showed a clip of Keith speaking about the importance of his faith during his battle with stomach cancer.

“I just got to a point where I was comfortable with whatever happened,” he said. “I had my brain wrapped around it and I was in a good spot either way. People without faith don’t have that.”

He has said in interviews and even on stage that God has been riding shotgun with him, so his faith has always been at the forefront.

In another sneak peek video posted on January 22, Keith said, “Cancer is a roller coaster. You just sit here and wait for it to go away and [it] may not ever go away.”

Toby Keith revealed his stomach cancer diagnosis in 2022.

Returning to the stage, the country music icon marked his official comeback with two sold-out performances on December 10-11 in Las Vegas. While he had made brief appearances in recent months, singing no more than a single song, these shows were his first full-length concerts in over three years. The extended hiatus was a result of the global pandemic and his own health crisis. Following the initial show, Toby shared a series of photos on social media, offering reflections on the experience.
